4. - The First Mould

From the master we make a silicone rubber mould which is reinforced externally with plaster of paris or sometimes fibreglass, this gives us hollow impression of the original. 

As with the Artists proof model, every tiny detail and any flaw in the mould will be replicated in the final piece so attention to detail is everything.
